Get Involved

Reuben Smith’s Tumblehome Boatshop is always a bustle of activity, with a number of beautiful, historic, and classic wooden boats on the shop floor at any given time.

Tumblehome Boatshop conducts regular and ongoing events that are open to the public, inviting folks to see and learn about boats on the shop floor during these events. From lectures, to slideshows, to shop tours, community involvement in the activities of the boatshop are part of our mission and commitment.

Saturday Shop Talk

One Saturday morning each month we open the boatshop doors to the public and talk shop -- and enjoy muffins and coffee. During these informal events, Reuben will talk about each of the wooden boats on the shop floor -- their history and the work being done to them. Events are free, but registration is requested. Call 518-623-5050 or email.
